A multilingual actress, director, producer, consultant, and martial arts black belt navigates identity and expression across cultures, using performance as both shield and dreamscape, and drawing on meditation and mindfulness to transcend societal norms and write her own story.

(Character Outline)

🎭 The Muse left home at seventeen to train in physical theater and martial arts, learning to express what language could not contain. She has reinvented herself across countries, shedding identities as needed. Others project onto her and she rarely corrects them. In the film, she acts as both catalyst and mirror. Characters reveal themselves in her presence. She may disappear midway through the narrative, forcing others to confront who they were around her. Or she may be the only character who fully understands the recursive structure unfolding around them.

(Leaving Home)

I left home at seventeen. I was already learning that language could only take me so far. So I went toward the body. Physical theater. Martial arts. Movement. I learned to say what could not be spoken, to let gesture carry what language could not contain. Then I began moving between countries, between languages, between versions of myself.

I used to think being a muse meant inspiring someone else. Now I think it means becoming part of the conditions in which something can be made.

(Changing Languages)

German. English. French. Italian. Actress. Director. Writer. Producer. I have spent my life becoming someone else and then leaving her behind. Along the way, performance became less a profession than a way of understanding people.

There is a strange intimacy in being looked at. You give someone an image of yourself, and then you discover what they saw.

(The Space Between)

Directing became a way of arranging what happens between them. Producing became a way of making the conditions for those encounters possible. I have a black belt in Taekwondo. I meditate. I pay attention to the body, to breath, to the space between one thought and the next.

A photograph can preserve a moment, but it can also change the relationship that produced it. The image becomes another participant.

(Transformation)

There is discipline in transformation. There is also freedom in it. I have never believed that identity was something fixed. I think of it more as a costume, or perhaps a language. Something you can put on. Something you can take off.

Natalia made a restaurant feel like an extension of her own generosity. People came for the food, but something else was happening around the table.

(Projection)

People project things onto me. They make assumptions. They decide who I am before I have spoken. I rarely correct them. Why would I? A projection can tell you more about the person projecting than it does about me.

I like art that leaves room for warmth. Not everything intimate has to become confessional, and not everything vulnerable has to become serious.

(In Front and Behind)

Over time, I began working across film, theater, television, and production, moving between what happens in front of the camera and what happens behind it. I became interested in the space between those positions. Who is performing? Who is watching? Who is directing? Who is being directed? The distinctions are less stable than they appear.

For Remy, the body is never just a body. It is desire, memory, power, humor, fantasy, embarrassment, and the history of being looked at.

(Shield and Dreamscape)

I have learned to use performance as both shield and dreamscape. I can disappear into a character, but I can also disappear behind myself. Sometimes I am acting. Sometimes I am directing. Sometimes I am producing the conditions for the whole thing to happen. Sometimes I am watching it from somewhere just outside the frame.

Being represented is not the same as being possessed. The person in the image still has a life beyond what the image can contain.

(Useful)

This is where I become useful. I don't think of myself as the center of a story. I am more interested in what happens around me. People become different in my presence. They confess things. They contradict themselves. They become more beautiful, more ridiculous, more honest.

I am interested in the space between the gaze and the person being seen. That distance can hold attraction, discomfort, trust, or all three at once.

(The Mirror)

I listen. I watch. I let them believe I am the one they have imagined. Sometimes I disappear. And when I do, the others are left to wonder who they were when I was there. Perhaps that is my real role. To make people see themselves.

The gallery can feel like a stage, but intimacy happens in the spaces around the stage. A conversation, a meal, a photograph, a hand on a shoulder.

(The Repetition)

Or perhaps I am the only one who understands that none of this is happening for the first time. That the story is repeating itself. That we are all playing characters inside characters, moving through the same rooms, wearing different names. I have learned not to resist the repetition. I step into it.

Maybe the muse is not the person who inspires the artwork. Maybe she is the person who changes what becomes possible between people.

(Disappear Again)

I change the language. I change the body. I change the story. And then I disappear again.
