A business card becomes a painting, one I rarely give away because I like it too much. Embedded in a larger composition, it joins another tabletop arrangement of collages, including fragments of textiles I designed and produced in Bangkok. An exchange with a friend interested in Aby Warburg and ancient Greece introduces questions of cultural memory and the migration of images across time. An experimental film brings together Heidi Klum and Tony Cragg through increasingly fragmented abstractions and bodies. The same material passes between painting, fashion, sculpture, and moving image. The archive begins to resemble a network of recurring encounters, where even the smallest fragment contains a larger history.
