Forest into Light

A handmade, limited-edition poster for a film and interview series with the ASU FIDM Museum on fashion in the 1990s enters alongside another watercolor investigating folded patterns and morphologies. The watercolor emerged from experiments with digital control points, imagining how geometries manipulated in virtual space might be transferred onto physical surfaces. A fashion photograph undergoes successive rounds of digital processing, each repetition producing further degradation. The image begins to record the history of its own transformations. Control and accident enter the same process. The geometry of the surface becomes increasingly unstable, opening onto the movement of light, bodies, and images across different kinds of space.
