A.1 | EP.2 | Architectonic Silence: Arbitrating Noise

(Narrative Arc | Logline)

Procedural / Escalation | Sol Axiom (The Pioneers) constructs a system that translates sound into geometry, light, and painting, with King Rivers (The Actor) developing its software and Elia Root (The Muse) testing it through voice and movement. As its responses become increasingly unpredictable, the three become performers within a space they can no longer fully direct.
(ACt 1)

Sol develops a system for manipulating painted compositions in three-dimensional space. King connects physical control points to the software, testing how each adjustment changes geometry, light, and sound. Elia moves between the paintings as Sol establishes their positions. The system responds as expected.
(Plot Point 1)
Elia speaks while King is testing a microphone. Her voice enters the software, altering the geometry and spatial relationships of the paintings. Sol asks her to repeat the phrase. A change in her breathing produces a different configuration.
(Act 2)
Signals multiply across drawings, paintings, projections, and speaker arrays. Elia varies her voice and movement, following the changes she provokes. King adjusts the software while Sol moves the control points, trying to recover an earlier composition. Their corrections introduce further variations. Physical and virtual spaces begin to overlap.
(Plot Point 2)
The system produces a configuration none of them has specified. Sol reaches for a control point and finds that his movement changes the arrangement before he touches it. King traces the response through the software. Elia pauses, and the space continues changing around her.
(Act 3)
Sol begins moving with the paintings, adjusting his gestures to their shifting relationships. Elia answers a sound from the speakers. King leaves a setting open and steps into the space. Through improvisation, the three discover that the paintings, the architecture, and their own movements are now composing one another.
